Voter Information Page
If voters need to register or re-register, the voter registration application must be postmarked or submitted online no later than 11:59 p.m. on October 19, 2020, for the 2020 Presidential General Election.
Conditional Voter Registration
California law allows citizens to register and vote after the registration deadline. If you miss the voter registration deadline, you can still register and vote in person at the Registrar of Voters office or an Early Vote site, or at a polling place. View the Vote Early page for locations, dates, and hours of the Early Vote sites for this election.
Visit the county Voter Registration page for complete information and instructions about registering to vote.
From October 20, 2020, up until the close of the polls at 8 p.m. on Election Day, all voters can still update their residential address or political party preference.
How to Change Your Address or Political Party Preference After the Registration Deadline:
On February 13, 2020, urgency legislation Senate Bill 207 [pdf] was chaptered that permits voters to update their residential address or political party preference after the registration deadline for an election without requiring voters to re-register. A written request submitted to the Registrar of Voters is sufficient.
San Bernardino County voters may now use a simple Change of Address Form to update a residential or mailing addresses so long as the voter still resides in San Bernardino County. Voters may submit a photo or scanned image of the completed form by fax at 909-387-2022 or by email to VoterRegistrations@SBCountyElections.com.
Alternatively, the completed form may be returned by mail or in person to the Registrar of Voters.
- The Change of Address Form may not be used to register to vote, change a name, change a political party preference, change a residential address from one county to another, or request a mail ballot.
- This form must include the voter’s signature. An electronic signature cannot be accepted at this time.
